Bolota: coming from great negligence

Information:

Name: Bolota

Gender: F

Age: ~beg-2014

Size: big (25kg, 55cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, sterilised

Story, Personality, Others:
Bolota was brought to the shelter in May 2015. When entering the shelter she was very scared. She came from Alentejo where her owner did not sterilize her dog and she had 8 puppies. Some were rehomed, some stayed there. One of the “puppies” got pregnant and had another 6 puppies.
The owner stopped paying rent and was evicted from the house. All dogs ended up in a shelter. We tried to help and we took Bolota in.
During her short life in a “home” she hardly had any human attention, this is why she is so shy and vary of humans. But she is very gentle and she is slowly learning to trust. She is already very much at ease in the shelter and she gets along with all dogs. She gets attached to people she knows.
She likes water.

Vox: puppy on the chain and adulthood in the shelter

Information:

Name: Vox

Gender: M

Age: d-o-b: March 2013

Size: medium (20kg, 50cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated

Story, Personality, Others:
Vox was found on the street as a puppy by someone who was playing to be a rescuer and given shortly for adoption to the first person that appeared. The adoptant gave him to someone else very soon and this someone put the puppy on the chain in his yard. The person that rehomed the puppy first had a bout of conscience and requested the puppy back, that was granted, the other guy did not really want the puppy either.
This person, the rescuer, had no shelter and no solutions so she brought the dog to the shelter, that was in 2014 and since then we have not heard from her.

Poor Vox… he just stayed behind. He was always a sweet and friendly dog but common looking, not very attractive, so no one paid attention to him, no one offered him a home and like this years passed. He is still in the shelter.
Vox is gentle, friendly, happy, playful and he gets along with all dogs. He is lovely with people and walks well on the leash. He deserves much better.
