Luna was found on the street in May 2017. When she came to us, she was very skinny. She must have been long on the street, scavenging for food. She was caught by someone when trying to get into a hen house. She was starving….. This person brought her to the shelter (and she actually wanted to exchange her for a puppy, but we just took in Luna and we did not give the puppy – it was going to be a guard dog leading miserable life).
Poor Luna was tired, exhausted and very hungry. But at the same time very sweet and very gentle… Since then she put on weight and she resulted to be quite healthy for her age. She is doing well.
But sadly she is another old dog that will stay in the shelter for the rest of her life… It is better than on the street but it is not a home. Old dogs need home and special affection. Not many people want to adopt old dogs though… And she is sooo loving. Just look at the movies.
