A guy got himself a Labrador because he wanted to sell the puppies but she did not get pregnant when he wanted so he dumped her in a municipal kennel.
The kennel was one of those which has terrible conditions, so soon after she was sick. Very sick she was brought to us from a municipal pound, very sick. She had everything. She had distemper and tick fever, which affected her neurological reactions because basically she stopped walking.
She was taken to one of our vets where she spent 2 months. First distemper was treated and it is a miracle she survived. Then tick fever. And then she had to made to walk again. She used all the physiotherapy centre had to offer – physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and shockwave therapy.
Shockwave therapy is a therapy using acoustic waves carrying high energy applied for the purpose of fast pain relief and mobility restoration.
The result was great. Mon Cheri is back to being normal dog. She walks, she runs, she interacts with other dogs.
Then she entered into heat. That was a surprise as we were told she was sterilised in the municipal kennel. We tried to find out but they refused to talk to us, what method they used, who neutered her… So we had an ultrasound done and we discovered that the experts over there sterilised her, removed the uterus but left a piece of ovary. She had to go through a second surgery to remove this ovary., It went well.
Poor dog has been through so much.
But finally she is well and she waiting for a new home.
She is super friendly and gentle. She loves people. She is good with other dogs. She walks well on the leash. She is used to going by car.

Marley was adopted as a young dog from a municipal pound, so he was there because someone abandoned him before. The people that adopted him had him for 7 years but recently they decided that they don’t have time for him so they gave him away to someone. The person that took him, we don’t know why they took him at all, but after one week they did not want him.
Those people think dogs are things. That they can be bounced from one place to another and they don’t feel anything.
So Marley was brought to the shelter.
And given his age, it would sincerely be a miracle if he went to a home again but given his previous experiences he might have finally ended up in a place where people care about him.
The first day he was quite nervous but the second day already he relaxed. He is such a sweet dog. Friendly, gentle, affectionate. Super nice with other dogs as well. He deserves so much better… Such a nice dog.
