Lucky: handicapped puppy that needs a home
Age: d-o-b: 7 September 2018
Size: small-medium (9kg, 40cm)
Others: dewormed, vaccinated, castrated
A woman got herself a puppy, shortly it resulted the puppy was handicapped so she just chucked him in the yard and kept for months without any human contact, just daily bowl of food and then she dumped him in the shelter.
Lucky – a very ironic name for a very unlucky puppy – was born with a handicap to his back legs. They are slightly bent to the inside, like making an X. It is not the first time we have a puppy like this. It is a birth defect.
No operation was needed but he did 2 months of physiotherapy and he improved considerably. His legs are only slightly bent now and this in no way affects his quality of life. He can run and jump and walk. He can lead a completely normal life. People want perfect dogs but we hope there is someone there who will be able to love a less pretty puppy.
Lucky is very gentle and friendly although he can be initially nervous with people he does not know. He is good with other dogs.
