Name: Sporting

Gender: M

Story, Personality, Others:
The owner of 16 dogs had a stroke and continues to be in a serious state for quite a long time already. She is not able to come back home. Her family does not care about the dogs. The husband said he will buy a gun and shoot them. The daughter asked Milu to come and get them but that was the only thing she did. While the dogs were there, noone tried to improve their life conditions. Milu found the dogs in one dark room without sunlight together with chicken and hens. The dogs have not eaten for several days and have not been out for long time. Their prison was full of extrements and this is where they were sitting and sleeping. You cannot imagine how dirty they were and how they smelled. After they were brought to the shelter, they were all given a bath but the car needed to be washed too. They have never been vaccinated in their lives. They are all similar so they are probably mothers, fathers, siblings, they were just breeding there.

Sporting was one of the dogs. His situation was worse as he was blind… And coming to the shelter was for him more stressful then for the others. But he is adapting. He is a very nice and gentle dog and he already walks around by himself and orientates himself, even if he is blind. Just see then movies. He is a nice and gentle dog and social with other dogs. Maybe someone will give him a home…

Can you take a dog on the flight?

If you are flying to Germany (Frankfurt), Norway (Oslo), Denmark (Copenhagen), Sweden (Stockholm or Gothenburg), France (Bordeaux) and Italy (Milan and Rome) please consider taking a dog on the flight with you. This will be at no cost and no inconvenience for you. Our team will meet you at the airport of departure (Lisbon or Faro), bring the dog with the required documentation and transporting box and pay for the dog’s flight and the partner team will meet you at the arrival airport to receive the dog. Like this you are helping a homeless dog to get to his new home.
