Black and his companion were brought to a municipal pound 2 years ago by their owners who were moving abroad so they decided it was the best to euthanize their dogs. They were not because someone from a private shelter stepped in to take over them and removed them from the pound before they got euthanized. The companion of Black died soon after and Black stayed alone and was always very sad.
We took over him a few months ago….
He is very gentle and very sweet. He is old but he is in pretty good shape for his age. However he is leishmaniose positive, but he takes medication.
He is such a well behaved dog. Very educated. A real dog gentleman. He walks well on the leash, he stops when he is asked, he sits on command. And most of all, he loves people and he wants to please. He is also good with other dogs. His owners bought him, cared for him, educated him… and then dumped him to die when they changed their lives and decided to move abroad.
Black deserves better. Can we still find a him a loving home?
