Kiwi: it is not easy to loose her home where she felt safe

Information:

Name: Kiwi

Gender: F

Breed: x castro laboreiro

Age: d-o-b: ~2015

Size: big (34kg, 55cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, sterilised

Story:
Kiwi and her companion, Keisy, had a home but their owner got sick and the husband did not want to keep the dogs. They were surrendered to the shelter.
They were not neutered or vaccinated and they did not get much care but at least in their life they were treated with kindness. They are sweet and gentle dogs.
Coming to the shelter was quiet a shock for them. Coming from a calm home they ended up in a noisy and busy place. Especially Kiwi, who seems the more sensitive one, is quite insecure. She is quite shy with us and she does not come to us by herself but when we approach her she is gentle and accepts cuddling. We are certain it is only a question of time. Still, she would be much better in a home than in the shelter. There she would regain confidence quickly.

Kiwi is good with other dogs, she is very gentle with people. She is not used to living in the house and she does not walk on the leash. She can learn though.

Dalila: as gentle as big

Information:

Name: Dalila

Gender: F

Breed: castro laboreiro

Age: d-o-b: ~2013

Size: big (45kg, 60cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, sterilised

Story:
Dalila is extremely gentle. She is 45kg of gentleness. You can trust her with your life.
She always had a home. The ex owners say she was the best and the gentlest… She got along with all dogs. She loved cats. And she was the sweetest with the children, even with the infant.
But they have too many dogs, the neighbours complain, the police goes there regularly and now they have been given an ultimatum which resulted in surrendering a number of dogs to the shelter.
All nice dogs but Dalila breaks your heart. A dog like this is not supposed to be in the shelter. What a waste of unconditional love that she is able to give.
Dalila is a dream dog. Calm, gentle, careful. Good on the leash. A jewel with children. Good with other dogs and cats. Used to living in a home. House clean. A pearl of dogs.

Paki: she seems so sad….

Information:

Name: Paki

Gender: F

Breed: castro laboreiro

Age: d-o-b: ~June 2013

Size: big (40kg, 55cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, sterilised

Story, Personality, Others:
Paki was left in the shelter by her owner. She is 3 years old, she was never vaccinated, she was not neutered, actually when she was brought to us she was in advanced pregnancy (she was neutered immediately). She knew something bad was happening when she was being left in the shelter, she was very sad. While her owner did not seem to care at all.
Paki is a gentle and calm dog, very nice and obedient with people and social with other dogs. She is sad but we hope to find a nice home for her and show her she can be a happy dog.
