Estrela was brought to the shelter by her owner, a hunter, as she is not worth anything anymore. She is old, she does not hunt and she is afraid of thunderstorm. At the last thunderstorm which was particularly violent, Estrela was al alone in her kennel, this is where he kept her and she was so scared that she tried to jump the fence. The fence was high, she did not manage to jump, she only heart herself badly in her groin, she had a gaping hole there. Treating the dog at the vet would be more expensive than euthanizing it and given that she is not worth anything anymore as a hunting dog the owner was going to euthanize her. A neighbour advised him to take her to the shelter and indicated where. So this is how she survived… In the shelter she was treated. The vet sutured the wound. She was very calm and submissive even if she must have been in terrible pain. She is now recovering.
Estrela is a lovely dog. Very gentle, very friendly, very sweet. She gets along with other dogs. She walks well on the leash and is good in the car.

Story, Personality, Others:
Noopy was found on the street, very pregnant. She was actually seen before but she was so scared that no one managed to catch her. Only when she was very pregnant, she could not ran so fast and then she was caught. And neutered.
She was very scared when she was on the street, but after a few days in the shelter where she was treated kindly by people, she is gaining courage. She already comes for cuddles and she enjoys human company. She is also good with other dogs. In a new home she will adapt in no time.
