Betty was removed by the police from camp inhabited by a certain group of people belonging to a certain ethnicity. She was kept in a whole in the ground covered with plastic so she would not roam around. She was being used to breed – as she is a pointer x, she was having puppies with every season and her puppies were being sold to the hunters. She was years on it.
Moreover, her leg was broken ages ago and it was not treated so it grew badly. She limps. But it is too old and there is nothing to be done to correct it anymore. At least it does not bother her, she is not in pain and she actually runs and plays and acts like a dog with 4 healthy legs.
Fortunately at some point the police acted upon a complaint and freed the dog from the hell hole she was living in.
She was brought to the shelter and we were surprised finding our how gentle and affectionate she was. She is lovely with people, very friendly, very gentle and super nice with other dogs.
