Dick: a dog of 14 years left to die in the shelter…..

Information:

Names: Dick

Gender: M

Breed: poodle

Age: d-o-b: 1 September 2006

Size: small (7kg, 35cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, castrated

Story, Personality, Others:
Dick was left in the shelter by his owner who cannot take care of him anymore due to health reasons. Noone from the family wanted to step in (but they are certainly waiting for inheritance). Dick was always well treated and lived in a home. He is very gentle, good on the leash, nice to other dogs. This must be a shock for him and from our experience if he does not find a new home soon he will just die of sadness in the shelter.
He is old but in good health although he has problems typical for his age. He has cataracts on both eyes and does not see very well and he has some heart murmur and take medication, Benazepril 2,5mg once a day.

Poppy: such a sweet girl

Information:

Name: Poppy

Gender: F

Age: d-o-b: ~2010

Size: medium (13kg, 45cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated

Story, Personality, Others:
Poppy was surrendered to the shelter in a group of 13 dogs by his owner who could not take care of all her dogs anymore due to health reasons. This is very sad for the dogs.
But it is not since yesterday that the owner stopped caring for her dogs. They all came skinny and with various ailments but Poppy had huge breast tumors that certainly took months to grow. She was operated and recovered nicely after the surgery.

Why have 13 dogs if you dont care about them? Then better have one or two, maybe then you will care for them. Or none at all if you cannot give them any care. Then get plants or an aquarium.

Poppy is the very sweet and friendly. She always wags her tails and asks us for attention. She gets along with all other dogs. She walks well on the leash.
