Angel: tough little old lady

Information:

Name: Angel

Gender: F

Breed: x poodle

Age: d-o-b: ~2004

Size: small (4kg, 35cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, sterilised

Story:
Angel was found on the street. A year ago. A woman found her. She has 20 dogs and even more cats in her home and she thought she was doing well rescuing an old dog. She kept her in the bathroom for a year because the other dogs were bigger and stronger and even the cats were mean to her.
After a year she must have made a discovery that she was not doing well to the small old poodle and she contacted the shelter to bring her.

Angel is old but there is still some life in her. She has gained confidence since she arrived, now she walks around – although very slowly – and wags her tail.
She is good with other dogs. She is very gentle.
She was groomed and she was very patient.

She is blind. But she must have been for long time so she is managing.
We had her heart checked and is pretty good for her age. She is a tough little lady. But will she have to live the rest of her days in the shelter? An old blind dog… maybe someone will give her a home for her last days….

Boby: he lives a real tragedy

Information:

Name: Boby

Gender: M

Age: d-o-b: 1 June 2011

Size: small (7kg, 40cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated, castrated

Story:
Boby’s owner brought him to the shelter. An old man and an old dog, they lived together for the last 8 years. Boby had a book of vaccination full of vaccinations, his owners was taking care of him like the vet told him.
Boby’s owner is not well. He will undergo a serious surgery in the hospital and then he will go to an assisted living home as he is not able to take care of himself. He cannot take his dog there. He has a family but he only had bitter words to say. He left crying. Boby stayed.
Boby did not understand. He was so scared. He wanted to bite every person that approached him. Now he is resigned. Just sad. He is in the kennel with other dogs, he does not pay attention to them and he does not approach people. Either he looks around, probably looking for his master or he just lies down on his bed. Boby is heartbroken.
