Luna: poor dog…

Information:

Name: Luna

Gender: F

Age: d-o-b: February 2020

Breed: x shar-pei

Size: medium (15kg, 50cm)

Others: dewormed, vaccinated

About:
Luna was surrendered to the shelter by her owners because they donĀ“t want to spend money on the vets for her.
Indeed, Luna has a problem with her right eye, but it can be solved. She suffers from entropion, a condition in which in which the eyelid folds inward. It is very uncomfortable, as the eyelashes continuously rub against the cornea causing irritation. So her eye is always crying. She is now doing a treatment with eye drops and soon will need to be operated.
Her ex-owners wanted a dog that would cost nothing.
Poor Luna is very unhappy in the shelter. For a dog used to living in a home, the shelter can be a very stressful place. From a bed to the kennel… From comfort of being inside to freezing nights…. Luna us very stressed and scared. But she is also sweet and gentle. We do eye drops every day and she lets us do anything. So we hope that after the eye operation we can find a loving home for her.

Pudim was removed from a situation of negligence. He and a number of other shar-peis, a whole group. The dogs were used for illegal breeding. 9 shar-pei crosses were brought to us from this place, most of them extremely scared and months later we still cannot touch them.
Pudim is very scared and when cornered he can snap. He has made some progress and he allows people that see him every day to touch and put the leash on.

Kim was removed from a situation of negligence. She and a number of other shar-peis, a whole group. The dogs were used for illegal breeding but probably not Kim yet, she does not seem to ever had puppies.
9 shar-pei crosses were brought to us from this place, most of them extremely scared and months later we still cannot touch them.
Kim is one of those few that made some progress. She is very food oriented so with treats we managed to gain her confidence and now it is possible to touch her and put a leash on her.
In a right home she would blossom.
She is very gentle. She is social with other dogs.
